Are you freaking Serious??? Did you just hear those words coming out your mouth?? What an insensitive Idiot. Evidentally the words from a commercial breeder who most likely needs investigated himself. Dogs are meant to be loved, Not locked up and imprisoned with no love and compassion. Commercial breeders breed dogs that are usually not taken care of and are starved for attention. In some cases there are lovely breeders who breed because they love the animals. This Idiot absolutely was not one of them. Loving owner of 2 dogs in Kansas…….

They are not a licensed breeder per other news reports. Maybe if you spent one minute on the internet looking into that answer you would have found it out, just like I did. If people mistreat their kids, they lose their kids. If they mistreat their kids and they do not lose them, then society demands a reason why we would allow parents to abuse children. Recall the little girl from the Mason City area who was murdered???

These are dogs. Not kids; dogs. If you walked into a set-up where 88 dogs were literally covered in sh*t with health issues abound, what would you do, Doug? Would you say “Well, they are your property, so keep on keeping on. This is America and we have a Constitution.” If you would do that, I’d probably call you a bigger jackass than the guy who did this to these dogs.

There is a certain thing called morality; right and wrong. I dont give a rats $ss if your rights are to treat animals worse than dirt, you have an OBLIGATION and a MORAL REQUIREMENT to treat them with decency. People who hide behind man-made rights, especially those who bring up the constitution, are usually….. I will edit myself here because I hope this gets printed.

As a society of people, regardless of religious and political views, we need to ask ourselves if we want to permit this type of abuse of animals to be permitted. If we do, then what does that say about us? It costs money to take care of animals. These people made a choice; they made the decision every day they woke up and every day they went to bed, that they would not take the proper care of them, and would use them for monetary gain in the case of breeding them and sellig their pups. And some one actually is asking about their property rights and if this is America we are living in? Sir, your question speaks volumes about the type of person you are.

I agree with your line of questioning, Doug and I notice he didn’t really answer your question…so now “hoarding” is equivalent to “commercial breeder”? Sorry but it appears that they figure if they can call this person both of these, then maybe they’ll get more donations. And I’ll bet dollars to donuts these dogs are adopted out WAY before there is any disposition in this case. And “deplorable” is so overused in the animal rights rhetoric these days that I roll my eyes and don’t believe another word of the story when I see it. I sure don’t support animal abuse, but the way most of these “rescues” and “raids” go down anymore, they are usually timed to formal fund raising campaigns or toward animal rights pushed legislation that is upcoming at the state level. Gotta give these factory fundraising animal rights groups credit for being organized and hiring good PR if nothing else.

The person that was breeding needs to be put in a cage, held there and made to sit and sleep in their own urine and feces, never getting a bath or hair cut, and being bred over and over and over again. This is just sickening.

Good questions doug,I was confused,hoarder or illegal breeder and they are already talking about adopting out these dogs,they need rehab not just thrown into a life they know nothing about,will they be checked for lepto and brucellosis or will some unsuspecting pet owner adopt them and possibly be infected,lepto is becoming more common and dangerous to humans.

We as a salon wanted to find a way to help these poor animals. So next Tuesday, January 31st, from noon-4pm we will be providing free hair cuts and brow waxes with a cash donation. Even if you don’t need any services, stop on by and donate even $5 or more!

We are located in the Alliant Building downtown. Go in the 2nd Avenue door to find us quickly. We are so excited to have the opportunity to create awareness and help. The dogs in question are not up for adoption. They are being sheltered by the Cedar Valley Humane Society and we are attending to their needs. There is an ongoing investigation looking into the circumstances surrounding the deplorable conditions these animals were in. Thank you for your concern.

If it was a licensed commercial breeder AR needs to stay out of it and let the USDA do it’s job. Give the owner time to correct the problem and follow up with more frequent inspections. If he does not comply then charge the appropriate fines and make sure he cleans up his operation. Shutting down the kennel and rehoming the dogs should come if he loses his license and/or all other alternatives have been exhausted. Everything should follow proper legal process, what I see here is wanton theft of property. Regardless of your personal feelings about the matter as citizens we need to understand that we have to draw the line somewhere. The most basic civil rights and liberties that we take for granted are on the chopping block.

First, and of foremost importance, is the welfare of these pitiful dogs. There was no
coercion involved in their removal. It was, plain and simple, a rescue mission based on
the results of a search warrant. Whether or not these animals go back to where they came from is for a court to decide once the outcome of any criminal charges are known. We can only pray that they don’t and the person(s) responsible for the condition of these gentle dogs ought to be jailed for a very long time. Shame, shame and more shame. It IS, Mr. Williams, only because we live in America that behavior of this sort is not tolerated!! You can thank your lucky stars you live here!

HELLO.. is this person a “hoarder” or a commercial breeder? did this person VOLUNTARILY give up his rights to these animals? If a commercial breeder .. are they licensed?/ if not then they are an illegal breeder.. not a commercial breeder.. if coerced to give up the animals that is illegal.. and charges have not been brought but the animals are being ‘adopted’.. is this really America.. do we really have a Constitution?

I love how news likes to print and broacast dirt on someone not ever worrying how it effects
the accused. I don’t recall ever reading about,how 23 of the 24 charges were thrown out without
even going to trial. One charge was plead guilty to, and thats what you have to do when you you cannot afford a lawer $10.000 dollars to take it to trial. This is all fact. So to all the people with their, lack of a better word, worthless comments, get the facts. Obviously you cannot get them

I am so sorry this had to happen to Andre. My cousin Kendra Windom has children by Andre aka Crunchy! He was a great dad and man. No one should take anothers life for any reason. My wife does not run red lights. She THOUGHT the light was green, probably because this is a terrible intersection, where the lights are confusing. The officer who delivered her ticket said as much. As I understand it, most red light tickets are for people who are trying to beat a light–but that’s not what happened here. She was just cruising along, thinking the light was green.

If everybody knows this is a terrible intersection, why don’t the traffic engineers fix it? Probably because they know it’s bad, but the video camera lets them write a lot of red light tickets at $200 a pop. It’s a case of revenue vs safety, and revenue always wins. Besides, because 2nd Ave is one way, the confused red light runners always get hit on the passenger side, so no deaths have occurred…yet. It’s just a matter of time before CRPD’s quest for revenue kills somebody.
