Dubuque assistant principal’s sexual exploitation trial again rescheduled

DUBUQUE — Trial has once again been rescheduled for Shane J. Oswald, an assistant principal at Dubuque’s Hempstead High School, who in January was charged with: sexual exploitation by a school employee, distribution of a controlled substance to a person under the age of 18 and providing alcohol to a person under the legal age.

Oswald filed a motion for continuance on July 23. On Wednesday Dubuque County District Judge Michael Shubatt rescheduled Oswald’s trial to begin on Oct. 25. The jury trial had been scheduled for Aug. 23.
